Sam Dana has been a computer developer with Prometheus for the last 5 years. During that time Sam has used Cucumber and Rspec tools for Behavior Driven Development; designed, developed and deployed Ruby web applications using the Ramaze framework; and worked with Flex/Actionscript 3 to develop the IPC Roadmap editor. Sam also worked with the NIST Ceramics dept. to develop a data-entry, storage, and processing system for phase equilibria diagrams and associated commentaries, and on a SmartFrid project for NIST. He has developed both an application-building tool and a use case editing tool. The applications-building tool programmatically builds an editor application based on a UML model, and the constructed application provides a web GUI interface, as well as Ruby & Java API’s. The use case editing too leveaging the aforementioned application-building too and has the flexibility to use any given UML model of a use case system.
Sam is proficient in Ruby & the Ramaze framework, Java, Bash shell scripting, C, C++, PHP, Perl, MySQL, Squite3, SQL Server, wxWidgets GUI library, ColdFusion & the Fusebox framework, and MagicDraw UML editor (GUI and plugin API).
Sam graduated from Western Carolina University Magna Cum Laude and received the Sophomore Computer Science Award and the Crum Memorial Scholarship.
